FSHD Seeks LEED Certification for ERLH III and Robinson Estates
FSHD is pursuing LEED certification for its new properties in Mount Laurel: Ethel R. Lawrence Homes III and Robinson Estates. Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) is a rating system devised by the United States Green Building Council (USGBC) to evaluate the environmental performance of a building and encourage market transformation towards sustainable development. LEED is a scorecard – like a nutrition label – that gives a clear, concise picture of all the ways a home performs at a higher level. For more information, click here.

Christmas “Gift Shop” A Hit in Camden and Mount Laurel
Our Northgate II development in Camden is home to some 150 boys and girls who endure the daily struggles associated with living in one of our nation’s most violent and impoverished cities. Each year, we display toys in our community room and allow parents to “shop” for gifts for their children. We do the same thing at the Margaret Donnelly O’Connor Education Center, where the kids also get to enjoy a delicious “Breakfast with Santa.” These holiday donations offered our young residents a moment of welcome relief, good cheer, and the chance to smile with the delight that only a wonderful new toy can inspire.

NGII Community Health Worker Wins “Excellence in Care Award”
Our social services department at Northgate II in Camden got a major boost when our community health worker, Zaida Martinez, won LeadingAge New Jersey’s 2017 Excellence in Care Award. “Ms. Martinez goes above and beyond her job responsibilities,” said Fair Share Support Services Social Services Director Marilyn Mock. “Not only has she developed excellent relationships with tenants, but also with their families who have personally called me to compliment her work.”
