Tenants of FSHD’s rental housing must comply with income requirements mandated by the relevant government agencies that provide funding for the development, construction and operations of FSHD’s properties. There are maximum income levels to insure that FSHD housing is provided to tenants of low-income and moderate-income levels to insure that tenants are financially capable of paying the monthly rent and utility charges.
Minimum Income and Levels/Guidelines
A tenant’s monthly rent and utility charges can generally not exceed 30% of monthly gross income for senior citizens and the disabled and cannot exceed 30% for non-elderly individuals and families with guidelines currently as follows:

ERLH is one of the only affordable housing developments in the suburbs to reach families with very low incomes. Our tenants generally earn between 10 percent to 60 percent of median income, which varies according to the number of people in a family and size of the unit.
